Arkezia Muffo di San Sisto shows an intense golden yellow color and nuances
of golden yellow, transparent. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing,
refined and elegant aromas which start with hints of dried apricot, peach
jam and vanilla followed by aromas of hawthorn, candied fruits, quince jam,
marzipan, honey, hazelnut, litchi and citrus fruit peel. The mouth has good
correspondence to the nose, a sweet and round attack, however balanced by
alcohol, good body, intense flavors. The finish is persistent with flavors
of dried apricot, candied fruits and honey. Arkezia Muffo di San Sisto ages
for about 16 months in barrique followed by at least 6 months of aging in
bottle. |

Bellissima interpretazione di Verdicchio in versione muffato. Suadente, vellutato e coinvolgente con profumi intensi che ricordano il tipico sentore della muffa nobile al quale si fondono albicocca secca, confettura di pesca, miele, mandorla e piacevolissimi accenni di frutta esotica.
L'assaggio regala una morbidezza perfettamente equilibrata dalla dolcezza alle quali fa contrappunto la bella acidità e l'alcol. Stupenda la persistenza: molto lunga.
