(Sicily)
n.d.
Sweet Wine Sweet Wine Score: ✧✧✧

(Sicily) ALA Antico Liquorvino Amarascato shows a brilliant ruby red color and nuances of garnet red, moderate transparency. The nose reveals intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas which start with hints of cherry jam, plum jam and dried violet followed by aromas of blackberry jam, vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a sweet and slightly tannic attack, however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, pleasing roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of cherry jam, blackberry jam and plum jam. ALA Antico Liquorvino Amarascato is made from a selection of red Sicilian wines, aged for a long time in oak cask and then aromatized with a cherry leaves infusion.
