Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
Menfi Rosso Coda della Foce shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of
garnet red, little transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing
and refined aromas that start with hints of blackberry, black currant and
plum followed by aromas of black cherry, dried violet, blueberry, vanilla,
chocolate, tobacco and menthol. The mouth has good correspondence to the
nose, a properly tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body,
intense flavors, pleasing roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors
of blackberry, black currant and plum. Menfi Rosso Coda della Foce ages for
16 months in cask and barrique followed by 8 months of aging in bottle. |
