Alte d'Altesi 2011
(Tuscany)
Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
|
Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧ |
Alte d'Altesi shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of garnet red,
little transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined
aromas which start with hints of black cherry, black currant and plum
followed by aromas of violet, blueberry, vanilla, tobacco, chocolate, mace
and menthol. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a properly
tannic attack and however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors,
pleasing roundness. The finish is persistent with flavors of black cherry,
black currant and plum. Alte d'Altesi ages for 14 months in barrique
followed by 3 months of aging in bottle. |
