Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva 2001
Alto Adige (Alto Adige)
This wine shows a brilliant ruby red color and nuances of ruby red, little
transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas
which start with hints of black cherry and plum followed by aromas of
blueberry, violet, cyclamen, licorice, vanilla and hints of cocoa and
menthol. In the mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a slightly
tannic attack and however well balanced by alcohol, good body, intense
flavors, good tannins. The finish is persistent with flavors of black
cherry and plum. This Lagrein ages for 18 months in cask.
