Alto Adige (Alto Adige)
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
|
Red Wine |
Score: ✧✧✧✧✭ |
This wine shows an intense ruby red color and nuances of ruby red, little
transparency. The nose denotes intense, clean, pleasing, refined and
elegant aromas that start with hints of black cherry, plum and blackberry
followed by aromas of blueberry, raspberry, licorice, black currant,
violet, vanilla and hints of black pepper. In the mouth has good
correspondence to the nose, a slightly tannic attack and however well
balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors, good tannins. The finish
is persistent with flavors of black cherry, plum and raspberry. A well
made wine. Geierberg ages in cask for 12 months.
