Cantine del Notaio's Aglianico del Vulture

An event dedicated to the great Aglianico produced by Cantine del Notaio told in the aromas and emotions of the wines presented for the occasion in enogastronomical matching. To the event took part Dr. Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti - accompanied by his wife Dr. Marcella Libutti - who told participants not only the history of his winery, but also interesting aspects about the territory of Vulture and of his renowned Aglianico wines, from the elegance of the sparkling Brut wine La Stipula to the strength of Aglianico del Vulture La Firma. Five wines - matched for the occasion with the dishes created by Antonello Biancalana and made by Locanda dei Golosi's cooks - which led participants to a charming journey in the many interpretations of Aglianico del Vulture, which ended with the sweetness of the elegant and extraordinary L'Autentica, produced with Muscat Blanc and Malvasia Bianca, aged in barrique for 14 months. The evening began with the Brut classic method sparkling wine La Stipula 2004 - an unusual and new style for Aglianico - followed by the pleasing Il Rogito 2005, Cantine del Notaio's rose wine produced with Aglianico and aged for 12 months in barrique. The event continued with Aglianico del Vulture Il Repertorio 2005, which preceded the renowned and extraordinary Aglianico del Vulture La Firma 2004, one of the most renowned wines from the prestigious winery from Basilicata.
