Four preview tasting have characterized the event dedicated to the wines of Colle di San Domenico winery, an event which reached its peak with the tasting of the new Taurasi 2003, a wine full of good promises and which was very appreciated by all participants. An unique occasion which allowed the preview tasting of the new whites produced by the winery of Irpinia, fruit of the new vintage 2007. The evening has begun with Fiano di Avellino 2007, the famous wine which allowed participants to understand the quality of the hot year which has just passed, with a very pleasing and balanced crispness. Also Greco di Tufo 2007 - produced with 100% Greco Bianco grape - has been very appreciated for its crispness and the exuberance of aromas. Sannio Falanghina 2007, the last white presented in preview tasting and produced with late harvested grapes, has been very appreciated for its body and its mature aromas of honey and almond. The event then continued with two red wines, both produced with Aglianico grape. The first one was Aglucus 2003, an excellent wine which allowed participants to understand the quality of the Aglianico grape produced in Irpinia, followed by the preview tasting of Taurasi 2003, an elegant wine, with round tannins and aromas of good complexity and finesse. The event has been conducted by Antonello Biancalana, who conducted the tasting and created the enogastronomical matching proposed with the five wines.
