The provocation was strong, but the experiment has been successful. This is, in short, the result of the event which had Marsala - among the greatest wines of Italy and son of the beautiful Sicily, one of the richest lands in cultures and traditions - as the absolute protagonist of the enogastronomical event, from appetizers to dessert. Mr. Emilio Ridolfi, managing director of Cantine Pellegrino, was present to the event and has introduced the history of his winery and production of the four Marsala wines presented during the course of the event. Antonello Biancalana - editor of DiWineTaste - has led participants to the amazing sensorial and organoleptic journey of Marsala tasting. A particularly suggestive moment has been the tasting of Marsala Vergine Riserva del Centenario 1980, which was presented as a meditation wine. Also the other three Marsala wines have been fully appreciated and emphasized by the enogastronomical matching created for the occasion by Antonello Biancalana and majestically made by Locanda dei Golosi's cooks.
