The year 2008 has ended with an event dedicated to the wines of Mossio brothers and to the typical grapes of Langhe and Piedmont. The over one hundred participants who took part to the event had the opportunity to appreciate the quality of one of the best expressions of Dolcetto d'Alba, the grape and the wine to which Mossio brothers have dedicated their efforts and passion, reaching results of valuable prestige. To the event took part Valerio Mossio, who illustrated to the participants the aspects of the territory and the varieties used for the production of the wines of this interesting winery from Rodello, in province of Cuneo. The evening has begun with Dolcetto d'Alba Piano delli Perdoni, a pleasing wine with elegance and crispness, followed by Dolcetto d'Alba Bricco Caramelli 2007, a more robust and full bodied expression of Dolcetto, however elegant and pleasing for the exuberance of its aromas. The event has then proceeded with the excellent Barbera d'Alba 2005 - the first of the three wines aged in wood - followed by the excellent Langhe Rosso 2005, result of the three red berried grapes cultivated in Mossio's vineyards: Dolcetto, Nebbiolo and Barbera. Of great interest has also been the last wine of the evening - Langhe Nebbiolo 2005 - confirming the excellent quality produced by the winery of Mossio brothers. As usual, Antonello Biancalana has conducted the tasting of the wines and the creation of the gastronomical dishes paired with the wines, made by Locanda dei Golosi's kitchen staff led by chefs Emiliano Buccolini and Francesco Pelli.
