Casale del Giglio's wines, protagonists of this event, have fully confirmed their quality and class, by positively surprising the about one hundred participants who took part to the event. A confirmation of the excellent job done in the last years by Casale del Giglio and the viticultural potentialities of Latium. Dr. Antonio Santarelli - proprietor of Casale del Giglio - took part to the event and illustrated to the participants the history of his territory and winery. The evening has begun with Antinoo 2004, the flagship white wine of Casale del Giglio, followed by a series of three red wines. The first of them has been Petit Verdot 2004, followed by Madreselva 2003 and then Mater Matuta 2003, the excellent red wine of Casale del Giglio and awarded for three times with DiWineTaste's five diamonds. The end of the event has been assigned to the excellent Aphrodisium 2005, a particular late harvest wine which pleasingly surprised participants. The wines tasted in the course of the event have been presented in enogastronomical matching with the dishes created for the occasion by Antonello Biancalana who also conducted, as usual, the sensorial and organoleptic tastings.
