From Soave to Amarone, the matching of Bertani's wines and the traditional dishes of Umbrian cooking has been successful, a marriage of aromas and tastes which fully exalted the wines of one of the most representing wineries of Valpolicella. Mr. Andrea Londi - Bertani's central Italy area manager - took part to the event and illustrated to the more than one hundred participants, the historical and productive aspects of the winery located in Grezzana, established in 1857 by Giovanbattista and Gaetano Bertani brothers. The event started with Soave Sereole 2005 - produced with 100% Garganega - followed by the very good Le Lave 2004, which ended the review of the evening's white wines. The part about red wines started with Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso 2004, followed by Amarone della Valpolicella Valpantena 2003, both being very appreciated by the event's participants. The end of the event was assigned to Recioto della Valpolicella Valpantena 2003. The wine tasting has been conducted by Antonello Biancalana, who illustrated to the participants the wines and the dishes served in the course of the evening and prepared by Locanda dei Golosi's cooks.
